Isaiah 10:1–3 (D-R):
WOE to them that make wicked laws: and when they write, write injustice:
2 To oppress the poor in judgment, and do violence to the cause of the humble of my people: that widows might be their prey, and that they might rob the fatherless.
3 What will you do in the day of visitation, and of the calamity which cometh from afar? to whom will ye flee for help? and where will ye leave your glory?
These are serious questions to be settled within our hearts and minds, don’t you think?
I’ve been struggling with my God, and His words. And my feelings of inadequacy, and being a little despondent has kept me from writing.
As inadequate as i may be I have a sense of responsibility to continue because i know how it eats at me when i don’t. Besides, i do not want any more blood on my hands than there already is, nor a separation from the Spirit of God, as i understand Him!
This will be a long sermon I’m afraid. So, please bear with me while i attempt to show you the heart of our Lord!?
I can only pray for His help to guide my heart, and mind.
This will be in installments, pt. 1, pt. 2, etc. This is part 1 of our journey through Isaiah, and his fourteen verses regarding the poor. And, yes i already, officially published part 1, and 2, yet felt it necessary to be more thorough concerning God’s words, and what i witness regarding His poor, and the modern day church!!!
And just so we are clear.
This is an indictment against the modern day church, All denominations!!!
Against your betrayal of Gods truth in His Holy Word regarding your justifications for your treatment of the poor!!!
Read Isaiah… Weep as Jesus wept for their blood on their hands, and their lack of faith!
His Word is alive.. Alive, before, and after time, and throughout time! Is this correct? God, Lord have mercy if it is!
You didn’t come here to hear my opinion, i know. You came to prayerfully hear maybe a whisper of God’s love, and His Holy Spirit will use His own word’s to show you the truth of His crazy upside down kingdom… As it is in heaven so it be on the earth… This is when, i believe, we will shine like warriors in white… Our glory before us… will be our shield, and our guide!
Lord help me tell the truth as you have shown it to me through your Holy Words! Amen!
Hello to you all who have bearded through this far with my rhetoric.
On now with the Blessed Lord’s Words…
Almost there. I have to use my notes, and this means more of my words to set the stage. Forgive me?
How does one attempt to explain, or give one a glimpse into the heart of God? Let alone, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit!? Oh my heart has come undone… The prophets could expose the heart of God, and were murdered for it. For it means forsaking your pleasures, and your little secret sins, and having them cleansed by the precious blood of God’s Holy Lamb, and following Him, and His voice alone will you follow.
And of all people the gracious Lord picked me from a life full of hatred, and sin! The darkest of places He found me, and placed me back on a path my dear godmother, may she rest in peace, and the Lord’s guidance had spoken to me… my future. If that makes sense, you’re as crazy as i am?! Yet, as incredibly tough as it can, and has gotten im incredibly grateful for what He has done for and to me!
To, “Cry, cease not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and show my people their wicked doings…” Isaiah 58:1
This is a Father’s cry for his children to hear, and repent… Turning back as being the protocol sons, and daughters of the God of the living! Any other path leads to destruction!
Here I’m attempting, and fumbling with this task of helping people see. And read for themselves what the good Lord has to say about His concerns, and guidance regarding the treatment of this beloved group of people specifically!
I pray His word’s take root, and flower into an enormous tree for His glory!
We’re going to begin with Isaiah 58.
Isa 58:1-14: “Cry, cease not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and shew my people their wicked doings, and the house of Jacob their sins.
2 For they seek me from day to day, sad desire to know my ways, as a nation that hath done justice, and hath not forsaken the judgment of their God: they ask of me the judgments of justice: they are willing to approach to God.
3 Why have we fasted, and thou hast not regarded: have we humbled our souls, and thou hast not taken notice? Behold in the day of your fast your own will is found, and you exact of all your debtors.
4 Behold you fast for debates and strife. and strike with the fist wickedly. Do not fast as you have done until this day, to make your cry to be heard on high.
5 Is this such a fast as I have chosen: for a man to afflict his soul for a day? is this it, to wind his head about like a circle, and to spread sackcloth and ashes? wilt thou call this a fast, and a day acceptable to the Lord?
Pardon me, this is where the proverbial rubber meets the road.
6 Is not this rather the fast that I have chosen? loose the bands of wickedness, undo the bundles that oppress, let them that are broken go free, and break asunder every burden.
7 Deal thy bread to the hungry, and bring the needy and the harbourless into thy house: when thou shalt see one naked, cover him, and despise not thy own flesh.
8 Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thy health shall speedily arise, and thy justice shall go before thy face, end the glory of the Lord shall gather thee up.
9 Then shalt thou call, and the Lord shall hear: thou shalt cry, and he shall say, Here I am. If thou wilt take away the chain out of the midst of thee, and cease to stretch out the finger, and to speak that which profiteth not.
10 When thou shalt pour out thy soul to the hungry, and shalt satisfy the afflicted soul then shall thy light rise up in darkness, and thy darkness shall be as the noonday.
11 And the Lord will give thee rest continually, and will fill thy soul with brightness, and deliver thy bones, and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a fountain of water whose waters shall not fail
12 And the places that have been desolate for ages shall be built in thee: thou shalt raise up the foundations of generation and generation: and thou shalt be called the repairer of the fences, turning the paths into rest.
13 If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy own will in my holy day, and call the sabbath delightful, and the holy of the Lord glorious, and glorify him, while thou dost not thy own ways, and thy own will is not found: to speak a word:
14 Then shalt thou be delighted in the Lord, and I will lift thee up above the high places of the earth, and will feed thee with the inheritance of Jacob thy father. For the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it.“
This is the entire 58th chapter of Isaiah, and it is truly beautiful in my eyes!!
Yet, the break in the chapters leaves us with a partial impression.
There is a warning attached in the beginning of the next chapter!!
The more i witness, study, and learn… The more i have come to realize my enemies have also become my teachers.
This is the end of what I’ll call, part 1. There is plenty more to come.
Please be patient. I’m fighting an infection in my foot from using communal showers. So the pain makes my mobility limited, and clouds my thinking.
Please keep this crazy old man in your prayers!? As i will you all!
And, thank you for stopping by and reading the writings of a mad man!
God’s blessings to you all, and may He guard your families!!! 💕
